Biography

Captain First Class Dr. Miloje Pantović, specialist in internal medicine and subspecialist in hematology – Head of the Hematology Department of the Military Medical Academy (MMA).

Dr. Miloje Pantović is a specialist in internal medicine and subspecialist in hematology, with many years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of hematological diseases. He currently serves as the Head of the Hematology Department of the MMA. His specific area of work includes the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoproliferative diseases (Hodgkin’s lymphoma, non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas, leukemias), myeloproliferative and plasma cell diseases (including multiple myeloma), various types of anemia (iron deficiency, megaloblastic and others), thrombocytopenias, as well as coagulation disorders, including thrombophilias in pregnancy.

In his daily clinical practice, he performs internal medicine and hematological examinations, along with performing and interpreting specific diagnostic procedures such as bone marrow biopsy, sternal puncture (myelogram), as well as the interpretation of laboratory findings, with the aim of timely diagnosis and adequate treatment of complex hematological conditions.

He began his medical education at the “Sestre Ninković” Medical High School in Kragujevac, and graduated from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Kragujevac. He completed his specialization in internal medicine and subspecialization in hematology at the University of Defense in Belgrade (MMA), while he attended doctoral studies at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Kragujevac.

During his professional engagement in the system of the Serbian Armed Forces and the MMA, he worked as a general practitioner, then as a specialist in internal medicine and subspecialist in hematology within the hematological service, and continued his career in a leadership role as Head of the Hematology Department. He has significant experience in demanding work systems, including international engagements in United Nations missions in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic, as well as in the aeromedical evacuation team (AMET). During the pandemic, he was engaged at the temporary COVID hospital “Belgrade Arena,” where he performed managerial duties. He has been a member of the Medical Chamber of Serbia since 2008.

At VIS Medical Polyclinic, he performs internal medicine and hematological examinations, with a focus on the diagnosis and treatment of hematological diseases and coagulation disorders.
